7/24/19

6-foot-2, 200-pound right-handed hitting first baseman and pitcher. Ran a 4.2 home to first at the workout. The athleticsm is solid and he moves well around the bag. Threw 84 mph across the diamond with accuracy. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 89 mph. The setup is wide in base, uses a knee to knee approach on the bottom half. The path is clean, slightly uphill with bat head speed to it. On the mound, the fastball sits 87-89 mph, boar and arm side run. The spin pitch is a slider, sitting at 71-73 mph. The changeup is a work in progress. The delivery has minimal crossfire to the feet. The arm slot is above 3/4 and fast. The lift is repeated, solid in tempo. The shoulders are rotational as he makes his way into foot strike. The frame is thick and durable. The release shows a bit of recoil.

6/19/19

6-foot-2, 200-pound right-handed pitcher. The fastball was up to 86 mph, minimal arm side run to the pitch. The breaking ball is 71 mph, shape of the pitch is done properly. The changeup is a solid pitch, sitting at 74 mph. The delivery is online with the feet and above 3/4 in slot. The tracking of the front shoulder comes offline before foot strike. The glove has a small amount of pull to it. The lift and stride is repeated, small amount of head movement. The frame is thick and durable, showed well for himself at the event.

7/27/16

6-foot-1, 185-pound, strong, physical, durable pitchers frame. The back is wide, arms are long and lower half is strong and thick. This right-handed pitcher, works from an over the top slot. The delivery is simple, the arm is short on the backside, has some tilt, needs to level it out a little, will help with working downhill. The stride could be longer and front side glove could be slightly stronger, will help him with the direction. The fastball was clocked in the mid 70’s, with some life to armside, it's a heavy ball. The secondary pitches are a work in progress, has a changeup at the current moment, clocked in the high 50’s, has some fade and floats to the arm side. Potential to throw the baseball with some velocity, needs to smooth out the delivery. As a right-handed hitter, hits from an even base, the hands are strong needs to stay through it a little more. Only going to be a freshman has plenty of time to work on his craft, projects for me more off the mound.
