2/25/18

6-foot-1, 200-pound, very strong, physical athletic frame. A well proportioned athlete, shoulders and back are wide, hands and wrists have above average strength. A right-handed hitting corner infielder. At the plate stance is balanced throughout, feet slightly wider than shoulder width. The hands are loose, get loaded up, stay back in weight transfer, uses a toe tap for timing. The swing is on time, lets the ball travel, and keeps the hands inside the baseball, barrel stays in the zone, gets through it well. The swing path is level to up, creates some lift to the swing. The tee exit velocity was an event best at 91 mph and ran a hard 30 yard- dash 4.15. Defensively, hands are soft, work well out front, gets low to the ground, uses the legs well, feet are quick, could long the lead leg with a longer stride. The arm action is short and clean, throws from a higher slot, clocked at 79 mph with plenty of carry. Potential to go to first down the road, chance to be a legit power guy down the road, someone is going to get a good one.

12/4/16

6-foot, 200-pound, strong, physical athletic frame. The back is wide and shoulders are squared off, has a good amount of room to fill out. A right-handed hitter, the stance is slightly wider than shoulder width, feet are even and sits in a small crouch. The hands are held above his back shoulder, hands get back into a loaded position, back elbow gets elevated at times. For timing uses a small quick leg kick, the swing is level to up. The tee exit velocity was 81 mph, and ran a 7.53 sixty yard dash. The backside lower half could get involved a little more, get the back knee to drive forward, will create some more pop. The approach is more middle to pull, all rounds of BP were made with solid contact. The swing has more in there as he gets stronger and learns to use the entire body. Defensively, shows soft hands with good flow and easy carry to throws with real good touch from all angles. The feet move well throughout, gets around the baseball, moved well to both sides. The backhand play was made with ease. The arm was clocked at 68 mph, with a ton more in it. Strength and conditioning will aid in his development, good sleeper to follow.
