7/17/19

5-foot-10, pound, wiry strong athletic frame, put together well, longer neck, sloped shoulders good strength throughout. A right-handed hitting two-way player, at the plate, is balanced, slightly open stance, higher relaxed strong hands. The lower half is under control, stride is simple and straight, gets momentum forward, transferring from backside. The swing path is level across and through the zone, rolling late and finishing higher. The approach is more line drives working from field to field, has an understanding of how to go opposite. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 88 mph, has some raw strength. Defensively, threw 83 mph, from a higher, clean slot, throwing down hill. All throws on target, giving the receiver something to handle. Off the mound, simple delivery, low to high hands, leaks forward at times, direction is inline. the arm action is super clean on the backside, working free and easy. The fastball touched 79 mph with late action to arm side. The breaking pitch, has feel, thrown for strikes at 62 mph. the changeup showed to have proper spin and fade action, clocked at 68-69 mph. Worked quick and pounded the zone with three pitches. Time will tell which way he goes, solid follow, valuable, can help in multiple ways.

6/27/18

5-foot-10, 145-pound right-handed hitting outfielder and pitcher. Ran a 7.25 sixty on the laser at the event. Threw 79 mph from the outfield as the arm works. The approach is solid and he moves well. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 77 mph, physical strength gains are warranted. The set up is wide in base, gets forward to the front foot too soon. The path is simple and clean, hands work very well. On the mound, the fastball touched 80 mph, minimal arm side run. The spin pitch is 61 mph, needs more fastball hand speed to the pitch. The changeup is a work in progress, The delivery is offline in direction, the slot is above ¾. The lift is athletic, small coil at the top. The arm has quickness to it, and is clean. Spins his way through the delivery, needs to stay with his arm to improve pitchability.
