Dylan Ellison: RHP/OF, (2023) out of Ansonia, CT. is a 6-foot-1, 180-pound two-way prospect. In the box, the right-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 91 MPH, with a  (71.83 MPH bat speed average) and (24.03 MPH hand speed average). He begins in a balanced, wide stance with relaxed hands. A slow load and a controlled stride allow him to get into a good hitting position. The bat head takes an uphill path through the hitting zone, while utilizing a gap to gap approach. From the outfield, he was up to 76 MPH, while showing smooth feet, sure hands, and a clean exchange during his workout. In the 60-yard dash, he recorded a time of 7.24. On the mound, Ellison works out of a simple delivery. He gets to a good position at the top before heading down the mound in line with home plate. The arm swing is clean. He uses a long, high ¾ long arm slot to produce a fastball that sits 79-83 MPH  (Max spin 1962; Avg 1602) with late arm side run. Ellison also features a 12/6 curveball (67-73 MPH) (Max spin 2264; Avg 2088) and a sweeping slider (74-78 MPH) (Max spin 2047; Avg 1967).

6-foot-1, 180-pound athletic physical build. Raw during batting practice, Ellison displayed an exit velocity of 90 mph, Ranks #3 with EV at the event. (73.19 mph bat speed average). (23.63 mph hand speed average). Started in a wide athletic stance with a smooth quick load, then used a controlled stride. Bat speed was explosive, showed a simple upward swing plane and high finish. Found multiple barrels with tons of loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Above average from the outfield, he made throws to the infield at velocities up to 77 mph; has athletic quick feet, a natural exchange, and sure hands. Fields the ball out front,movements laterally were quick. Showed consistent accuracy to the base with a ¾ slot and a loose arm action. Clocked a time of 7.2 in the 60-yard dash.

6-foot-1, 185-pound, stronger athletic frame, broad shoulders wider back, already filling out. A right-handed hitting two-way player, at the plate even feet taller stance, hands held flat on the back shoulder. The lower half is under control, minimal stride, with back side drive, could stay taller at times. The swing is level to up, more of a middle to pull side approach. The barrel has life and whip to it out front, exit velocity was clocked at 86 mph. Showing good power, enough juice to beat the pull side outfielder.  Defensively, from the outfield, threw 75 mph, longer arm path, all throws on target, approach was under control. Off the mound, mixed a two-pitch mix. The fastball was clocked at 78 mph, showing downward action, throwing a heavy ball. Threw a tight slider at 72 mph, later break to it. Continued work on smoothing out delivery, shows some forward lean. The arm action is longer, working from a higher slot.  Staying over the backside, will let arm get into a natural slot. Physical player, time will tell which way he go.

5-foot-11, 154-pound, thin athletic frame, shoulders are sloped, with room for added weight. A two way player hits from the right side, feet start even, wider than shoulder width, sits in a small crouch. The swing is level to up, finish is high with two hands above the shoulders. The swing is powerful, had a tee exit of 76 mph, more of a pull approach, hard solid contact in batting practice. Defensively, from the outfield, arm works from a ¾ to slightly lower than ¾ slot, clocked at 74 mph. The footwork is quick and clean, uses more of a shuffle for the transfer. Throws were downhill with carry for his age. Off the mound, steps straight back, clean athletic kick, stride is straight more of a short strider. The arm action is longer on the backside, slight hyperextension, works out of a ¾ slot, fastball touched 70 mph with action to it. Showed feel for a changeup at 59-62 mph. Good looking young player.

Arm Velocity- 74 mph
