Ethan Porter: 2B/SS, (2023) Northwest Catholic, MA. 5-foot-9, 160-pound athletic lean frame. Capable and athletic during batting practice, Porter had a max exit velocity of 84 mph. (69.4 mph bat speed average). (19.5 mph hand speed average). Started in a balanced athletic stance with a small load, then used a small stride. Has developing bat speed, flat loose swing plane and high finish. Found some barrels with some loud contact. Line drive approach. Projectable athletic while in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 81 mph; has a developing clean exchange, developing soft hands, and athletic developing feet. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Consistent accuracy to the bases, used a loose arm action and a high ¾ slot. In the 60-yard dash, he clocked a time of 7.13. Capable on the mound, used a high ¾ arm angle and a consistent arm action while showing good arm speed. Up-tempo type pitcher who uses some effort. Showed consistent balance point and in line shoulders. Lands closed with a falling off finish. Sat with his fastball at 79-81 mph; had running action and control arm side around the zone.
