Umass commit: 6-foot-7, 160-pound, thin, long and lengthy frame, arms and legs are extremely long. The hands are huge, has a ton of room to fill out. A left-handed pitcher, who continues to get better, fastball consistently in the low 80’s with much more in the tank. The delivery, has tempo and timing to it. The hands start low and work in sync with leg raise which is controlled and gets to a powerful gather. The arm action has good clean length to it, comes out of a natural ¾ slot and shows the ability to throw it to both sides of plate. The breaking ball was clocked at 68-71, the break is 11/5 from pitchers view. The changeup, when he stays behind and lets the grip do the work is good, with proper spin to arm side, clocked at 68-70 mph is an above average pitch, threw it left on left without much trouble. The backside lower half could get involved more, gets tied in on the finish, reps and practice, will help with angle to plate and depth to pitches. Look for him to take another big jump by the spring.

7/12/16
6-foot-7, 160-pound, long, thin, lengthy, frame with a ton of room for added weight. A left-handed pitcher, the delivery is smooth and repeatable and the hands work in sync with the leg raise. The arm action is clean and works without too much effort. The ball comes out of a ¾ slot. The fastball was 79-83 mph, with life down in the zone and had some sink to the armside. The breaking ball got to 70 mph, with some depth to it. The changeup had good armside fade and spin to it and was clocked at 69-70 mph. Times to the plate were 1.51, worked quick and was aggressive in his outing. The arm could get out and away from the head a little, could make the arm quicker with more movement and the ball will be coming from a tougher angle on lefties. This was the best I've seen him, velocity is slowly starting to climb, impressed and has a huge upside to him.

3/2/16
6-foot-6, 165-pound thin projectible body frame, arms and legs extremely long with plenty of room for added weight. A left-handed pitcher, the delivery is under control, hands start low and raise in sync with leg raise. The arm works out of a high-¾ slot. The hand/arm goes down out of separation and works fluidly through to release. The fastball was clocked at 79 mph, with a ton more in there, but he needs to get the backside involved more. Pitches downhill, creates a tough angle to plate. The changeup showed proper fade, is a plus pitch, thrown at 70 mph and he sold it with good arm speed. The curveball was 66-68 mph. Times to the plate were 1.56. The tempo of delivery is good, shows presence on the mound and attacked the catcher. Strength is a must, more to come.

10/11/15
A very long and lengthy left-handed pitcher at 6-foot-7. The frame has lots of room to add weight and muscle. Pitches slightly higher than ¾, arm action is short and hides it well behind his body. The fastball is 76-78 and pounded it well to the glove side. The direction is solid to plate, on time and in-line. The breaking ball was 67-68 with down action to it, needs to have a bit more fastball in it. The changeup is a plus pitch, sold it well with arm action and the spin is correct. Strength and weight training are a must, a regimented throwing plan will help his development. Definite follow for me, need to go see him in the high school season.
