6/08/19

6-foot-2, 170-pound, longer, wide athletic frame, well proportioned, plenty of room for advancement. Off the mound, this right-hander has a repeatable easy delivery, clean athletic left, higher hands in gather. The direction is inline, longer stride, longer clean arm action. The release is out front, uses the entire baseball to throw the baseball. The fastball was clocked at 79 mph, with very good sink and run to arm side. The breaking ball is more top to bottom with a bigger break, clocked at 64 mph. Showed feel for the changeup at 71 mph. The outing was clean and crisp, attacks the hitter and catcher. Offensiley, starts slightly open and wider. The hands are held at the shoulders, bat tilted and loaded up. The swing is level, gets through it, keeps hands inside the baseball. The approach is more gap to gap, had a tee exit velocity of 82 mph. Ran well at 7.29, long, clean athletic strides. Defensively, arm was 75 across the diamond. The hands are soft, works low to ground feet move well and throughout. Showed clean starts on double plays.  Projects for me off the mound, might be able to help at both corner infield spots as well.

Exit Velocity: 82 mph
Arm Velocity: 75 mph
Sixty-Yard Dash: 7.29

8/19/18

6-foot-2, 160-pound right-handed pitcher and infielder. Ran a 4.27 down the line on his dig, as the strides are long and smooth. Threw 74 mph across the diamond from third base to first. The glove is soft and the movements are athletic. The prep steps need to be cleaned up as he matures. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 81 mph, physical strength gains are needed. The setup is wide in base, small bat wrap to start. The front foot has a small pick up and put down as the ball approaches. The hands are clean and free to the ball, the finish is 1-handed after contact. The frame is long and thin, added weight would benefit his game. On the mound, the fastball touched 77 mph, downhill at times. The spin pitch is big in shape, sitting at 64 mph. The changeup is developing. The delivery is online with his feet, above ¾ in slot. The tracking of the front shoulder comes off track prior to footstrike, needs to stay online to improve extension. The glove has some pull to it as he delivers. The arm works free and clean, very interesting athlete with a very good skill set.

Tee Exit Velocity- 81 mph
INF Velocity - 74 mph

7/24/18

6-foot-2, 160-pound, long and lengthy athletic frame. The shoulders are rounded, back is wide, has plenty of room to fill out. This right-handed pitcher, pounds the zone with three pitches, big sleeper, velocity will go at some point. The delivery is sound, hands start and stay high, athletic tight leg raise, with coil to it. The arm action is has average length to it, its clean and works out of a ¾ to high ¾ slot. The fastball was clocked at 75-77 mph, jumps when it gets to the plate, pounded down in the zone to both sides. The curve ball was thrown in any count, pitched backwards at times, dropped in for a strike and used as a finish pitch. Clocked at 61-63 mph, proper spin and shape to it. The changeup is still a work in progress, clocked at 70 mph, with such clean arm action and repeatable delivery, should be able to develop. Big follow, pitchability is high.
