Power / Speed Score
A simple calculation that divides the athlete’s Exit Velocity Max by the athlete’s 60 Yard Dash time for the given event year. For example, 98 MPH / 7.00s = 14.00.
6-foot, 165-pound, average athletic frame, showing wiry strength, with plenty of room for added weight. At the plate, hits from the right-side, even feet, relaxed hands at the shoulders. The lower half is under control, simple pick up and put down, the swing is down to level to up, stays through the middle of the field. The approach is more middle to pull side, had an exit velocity of 83 mph. Showed good swings in game play, ran a 7.97. Defensively, threw 76 mph across the diamond, easy carry, all throws on target. Moves well to both sides, good flow, feet working with hands. Solid looking prospect.

6-foot, 165-pound, average athletic frame, longer neck, sloped shoulders. A two-way player, off the mound, controlled delivery, building momentum down the mound. The hands start and stay at the mid section, easy higher leg lift. The direction is inline with minimal pull to front side. The arm action is longer, working out of a high 3/4 slot, pitching downhill, was in the bottom part of the zone. The fastball was clocked at 75 mph, 4-seamer, located to glove side, gets through the catcher, small cut at times. Mixed in a curveball, clocked at 63-65 mph, proper spin later depth, will need to add additional hand speed to it. Showed a turn me over changeup at 67-70 mph. Repeats the delivery, minimal effort to it. At the plate, even feet at shoulder width. The hands are relaxed at the shoulders, flat setup, gets hands back on foot strike. The swing is level to and through, finishing higher with one-hand above the shoulders. The approach is more middle to pull, more line drives with loft at times. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 78 mph and ran a 8.0 sixty-yard dash. At 1st base, clean feet off the bag, fielding low and out front, showing good drop steps starting the double play. The arm was clocked at 75 mph. Projects more off the mound for me, pounds the zone with three pitches, needs to add more arm strength.
