Future Games
6-foot-2, 200-pound, strong, wide, physical athletic frame, already filling out. A right-handed first baseman, at the plater, wider stance, even feet. The hand are loose, tilted setup. The swing is level to up, creating loft and lift, hard contact in batting practice, with a tee exit velocity of 95 mph. The approach is more to pull side, has a chance to have big time power at the next level. Moves well for a bigger kid, ran the sixty-yard dash in 7.19, should be able to play left over time, will bring more value. Defensively, good quick feet off the bag, soft hands on the picks and dirt balls, moves well around the bag. The arm was clocked at 74 mph, shows to have average strength across the diamond. Look for him to be off the board at some point.

2/23/19

6-foot-2, 200-pound, strong physical athletic frame. Already filling out, has strength throughout. A right-handed hitting corner infielder, top tool is the bat, and power potential. At the plate, hands are loose at the shoulder, feet are even at shoulder width. For timing uses a small leg kick with weight loading up on backside. The swing is level to up, gets through it, has lift and loft, shows to have above average power to all fields, especially to opposite gap. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 91 and is an above average runner at 4.09 down the line. The swing needs to flatten a bit. Defensively, solid frame to throw to at first base. The feet are active around the bag, drop steps are clean, starting the double plays. The arm action is clean, longer path working out of a ¾ to high ¾ slot. All throws are on target, with flight and carry. Projects out to hit and hit for power at the next level, with his athletic ability and speed, brings value as well in outfield.

8/23/18

6-foot-2, 200-pound, strong, physical athletic frame. The neck is longer, shoulders are rounded, a well proportioned athlete, above average strength throughout. A two-way player at this event, projects more as a position player and hitter. The top tool is his ability to swing the bat, with potential to hit for power at the next level. At the plate, hits from the right side, stance is simple, balanced, feet are even, slightly wider than shoulder width.  The hands are relaxed and loose at the shoulders, bat having tilt to it in the set up. For timing uses a small controlled pick up put down, lower half is under control and backside is engaged. The swing is level to up, barrel stays in the zone a long time, driving the baseball from gap to gap. The bat speed is advanced for his age, tee exit velocity was clocked at 87 mph and ran a 7.69 on a slow track. The batting practice round was very good, hard, solid contact. Defensively, threw 74 mph, across the diamond from a high ¾ slot, arm action is longer on the back side. The hands were soft on the catch, good drop steps starting the double. Off the mound, easy smooth delivery, coil to leg raise, short strider, is inline to the plate. The fastball has bore action to it, clocked at 76 mph, was thrown for strikes. The breaking ball had a bigger top to bottom break, clocked at 61 mph. Threw a solid, clean inning. Chance to really hit at the next level.
