Showed extremely well at this event, all tools are well above average, along with a solid game play. Collected three hits, one being a laser triple to opposite field gap. Arm Velocity: 83 MPH

10/28/17

5-foot-10, 155 pounds, sight shoulder slope, average athletic build. Projectable frame with room to fill out the upper body as he matures. Ran a 7.42 sixty-yard dash. Potential to be an above average defender in the outfield. Has a live arm that was clocked at 81 MPH from the outfield and 78 MPH across the diamond from short. Quick twitch actions get his full body into the throw coming from a higher ¾ slot. Clean reads allow him to field the ball in rhythm. Masiuk stands tall with an open to even stance in the box. The swing plane has some lift in it, helping to deliver the ball to the gaps during batting practice. His 85 MPH exit velocity should climb even further as he adds strength. At times sold out for power, dropping the back shoulder and looking to pull the ball. Made his best contact into the left-center gap. Masiuk has plenty of talent and the tools to keep getting better, making an impression offensively and defensively.

2/18/17

5-foot-9, 140-pound long and lengthy athletic frame, the shoulders are wide, has plenty of room to fill out. Showed above average defensive actions in the outfield and infield. The arm is a big time tool, clocked at 74 mph, arm works out of a natural ¾ slot, it's clean and quick on the backside. The feet are quick, steps through hard and builds momentum towards his target, could long out stride to get out front to finish throws off. At shortstop, attacked the baseball well, could get lower to the ground, field it out front slightly away from his body. The hands are soft and work with his feet, try to keep feet under control, slow them down just a bit. The double play feed and slow roller were fielded correctly. Offensively, hits from the right side. The stance is simple balanced throughout, feet are even, at shoulder width apart. The hands are loose, they get back into a loaded hitting position. The lower half is under control, has a small leg kick and gains ground with stride, transfer weight into the swing. The swing is level to up, finishes it off with two hands. The approach is middle to pull, does a good job keeping the barrel in the zone a long time. Big time prospect, look for his game to jump as he gets stronger.
