6/19/19

6-foot-1, 175-pound left-handed hitting infielder and pitcher. Ran a 7.16 sixty on the laser at the event. The approach in the infield is very good, stays very aggressive with his feet and works through the ball. Threw 83 mph across the diamond with ease. The glove is soft and reliable. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 87 mph. The setup is wide in base, bottom half is under control throughout. The path is a tick long to contact, but the hands work free and clean to the ball. Has a high finish through contact with the ball.

Tee Exit Velocity - 87 mph
INF Velocity - 83 mph

2/17/18

5-foot-10, 165-pound, solid athletic frame, the arms are long, back is wide, has plenty of room for future development. A left-handed hitter, who shows to have some strength in his hands and swing. The stance is even, feet are slightly higher than shoulder width. The hands start above the shoulder, back elbow is extended out at times. For timing has a controlled leg raise, gains ground with the stride. The swing is down to level to up, more of a middle to opposite approach. Swung the bat well in BP, peppered the back wall. Off the mound, this right-hander, has a simple and repeatable delivery. The hands start and stay at mid-chest, leg raise has coil to it at its peak, front elbow gets tucked in. The direction of lead leg is inline, front short, strong and is in the correct place on release of the baseball. The arm action is a bit longer on the backside, with a little hook at the bottom of the circle. The arm slot is high ¾, works downhill, fastball was clocked at 73-77 mph. The breaking ball was clocked at 63-64 mph, the spin was correct, needs to be thrown harder. The changeup was 69-71 mph, showed to have some depth, needs to keep the same arm speed with it. Defensively, prep steps are good, is aggressive to the ball, moves well to both sides. Works from the ground up, doesn't waste any time, the transfer and feet are quick to release of the ball. The arm action is clean, was clocked at 72 mph from third base and 68 from shortstop, has some life and carry to throws. The backhand and slow roller were fielded correctly. Time will tell which side of the field he will end up on, good looking young kid, look for the velocity to make a good jump.

Sixty Yard Dash: 7.65
Exit Velocity: 77 mph
Arm Velocity: 72 mph

7/26/17

6-foot, 165-pound, thick, wide strong physical frame. The hands and wrists have strength to them. A two-way player, played well on both sides of the field. A left-handed hitter, hands are loose and work freely through the zone. The feet are wider than shoulder width and are even. For timing uses a small toe tap, lower half is quick, could slow it down a bit, starting it earlier though. The hands get back in the load, swing is level to up, with more of a pull approach to the right centerfield gap. In game swings were good, drove the baseball well to opposite field. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 80 mph and ran a 4.87 from home to first. Defensively, has very good feet, gets around the baseball and continues to move throughout. The hands are soft, fields in close to body, could get them out front a bit more. The arm has good strength to it, clocked at 78 mph across the diamond. Off the mound, pounded the zone with his curveball, showed proper spin and break to it, clocked at 69-70 mph. The fastball was clocked at 72-76 mph with action to the arm side. The delivery is simple, hands start at the midsection, stay there throughout. The approach is more drop and drive on the back side, finish is good, gets out front on release, uses the entire body to pitch the baseball. The arm action is whippy, works out of a natural ¾ slot. Good looking young player, someone to follow next summer.

Home-First: 4.81

Arm Velocity: 78 MPH
