A left-handed hitter, with plus pop, lift and loft to pull side. Throws well from the outfield with good carry, can work around the bag at first as well. Game 1-, had a solid at bat, collected a walk, showed a soft glove at 1st base. Game 3, had two good solid at bats, not much to show for, but worked count, with good swings. Made 3-4 plays in the outfield on some tough sun balls. Advanced approach at the plate, goes to all fields, with power to pull side. Interesting follow.

5-foot-10, 185-pound, strong, solid, well proportioned, showing strength throughout, with a stronger lower half. A left-handed hitting outfielder, swung the bat very well at this event. The stance is balanced, starting even, hands are loose and relaxed. For timing uses a small knee pick up, gains ground, hands are back on foot strike, hitting against a firm front side. The swing and hands work with minimal effort,  shows the ability to drive the baseball to all fields, feel for going opposite. The exit velocity was clocked at 92 mph and ran a 7.40 sixty-yard dash. Defensively, arm was clocked at 80 mph, arm action is longer on the backside, working from a higher slot. The approach is under control, gains ground in transfer, higher step through crow hop.   Good left-handed bat, showing potential to hit at the next level.

5-foot-9, 175-pound left-handed hitting outfielder. Ran a 7.41 sixty on the laser at the event. The approach in the outfield is athletic and appropriate. Threw 73 mph from the outfield to the plate. The arm could use an off-season long toss program to gain strength. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 82 mph. The setup is even in base, uses a small pick up and put down of the front foot as the ball approaches the hitting zone. The path is out and around to contact, long in length. The hands are free and clean, just need better direction to contact.

Tee Exit Velocity- 82 mph
OF Velocity - 73 mph

5-foot-8, 150 pounds, average athletic build, the shoulders have slope to them, at maturity should be able to hold some strength in the upper and lower halves. Ran an 8.11 sixty yard dash with average agility and acceleration. Potential for some more twitch and explosiveness in the movements moving forward. A left-handed hitter, Perez works from a balanced stance where the feet set slightly more than shoulder width apart. Lead foot quickly rocks back before planting as his weight transfers in the swing. Active hands work high, once the bat speed catches up should show a more refined hit tool. Middle-to-pull approach at the plate. His exit velocity off the tee was measured at 80 MPH. Working out as an outfield prospect, profiles best in a corner until the footspeed makes gains to handle duties up the middle. Throws from a natural ¾ slot, clocked at 72 MPH. Showed some developing accuracy as throws were around the bag. As his arm strength grows so should the carry on throws. At times the lower half is not fully engaged on throws. When everything is working, shows athleticism moving from fielding into the crow hop and throw. Having already taken steps forward since a winter preseason workout, Perez is a 2022 prospect with a desire to take charge of his development and the makeup to make it happen.

5-foot-7, 145-pound, average athletic frame for his age. The hands and wrists strength is above average. A well proportioned athlete, should fill out nicely over time. A left-handed hitter, feet start even in the box, hands set slightly higher than shoulder height. The swing is down to level to up, with approach being more to the pull side, cuts across it a bit at the finish, could stay through it longer. The contact is hard, barrels the baseball extremely well for his age. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 75 mph and ran a 4.34 30 yard dash. Defensively worked out both at first and outfield, showed advanced skill set in outfield, fields out front comes through the baseball and gains ground with transfer. Throws were clocked at 72 mph, arm action is short and clean. From first base, feet are quick around the bag, good turns and drop steps, arm was clocked at 66 mph. Worked off the mound as well, fastball was clocked at 67-68 mph, with the breaking ball at 58-64 mph. The breaking showed good spin from top to bottom. The delivery needs to stay in line and strong at times. The front side comes off and the body follows. With reps and practice will create a cleaner path. Offensively, like the approach with solid contact, should hit at a very high level.
