Scouting Report: 5-foot-9, 155-pound, average athletic frame, with room for added weight gains. A right-handed hitter, starts open and wider. The hands are relaxed, loaded at the shoulders. The swing is level through the zone, hands are inside the baseball, spraying line drives from gap to gap. Showed hard, solid contact, had an exit velocity of 83 mph and ran a 4.59 thirty-yard dash. Defensively, moved well around the bag at first, soft glove on the catch. Footwork is smooth on drop steps, throwing from a lower slot, with good feel on all throws. Off the mound, simple delivery, builds momentum down the mound, landing square, using he backside well. The arm action is longer and clean from a 3/4 slot. The fastball was clocked at 74 mph, with more in there as he continues to work on his craft. Mixed in a breaking ball at 62 mph and showed feel change up.

Solid projectable on the mound, used a high ¾ arm angle and a long loose arm action while showing some arm speed. Tall-and-fall up-tempo type pitcher and uses some effort. Has a strong balance point with falling off shoulders. Lands square and hard with an athletic upright finish. Threw his fastball 72-74 mph; has arm side control and sinking action. (Max spin 2193; Avg 2110). Shows arm side control and fading swing and miss action on his changeup (69-71). His 1/7 slider (63-65) showed tight late action and glove side command. (Max spin 2349; Avg 2349). Pounds the zone, a strike thrower with all three pitches.

5-foot-6, 120-pound athletic proportional build. Athletic in the box, Barry's best exit velocity was 71 mph. (56.9 mph bat speed average). (19.0 mph hand speed average). Began in a wide open stance with a smooth tight load, then used a controlled stride. Bat speed was quick, displayed a short upward swing plane and high finish. He barreled up some balls with loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Above average while in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 66 mph; had quick footwork, a clean exchange, and soft hands. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Had a high ¾ slot and a long loose arm action with consistent accuracy to the base. Capable on the mound, used a short loose arm action with a high ¾ arm angle while showing quick arm speed. Stretch only up-tempo type pitcher and shows some effort. Has falling off shoulder and strong balance point. Lands square with an athletic finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 65-68 mph; showed sinking action and arm side command. (Max spin 2057; Avg 1980). Shows slurvey action and glove side control on his curveball (57-60). (Max spin 2362; Avg 2248).His changeup (62-63) had arm side command and fading action.
