6-foot-2, 240-pound mature physical build. Solid during batting practice, Rooney's best exit velocity was 93 mph. (72.59 mph bat speed average). (23.78 mph hand speed average). Starts in a wide quiet stance with a smooth load, then uses a controlled stride. Bat speed is explosive, uses a long uphill swing plane and good extension on his high finish.
