Preston Cantele: C/SS, (2026) Mark T. Sheehan High School, CT. 5-foot-10, 170-pound lean athletic frame. Above average projectable during batting practice, Cantele displayed an exit velocity of 90 mph, Highest at the event. (70.7 mph bat speed average). (21.9 mph hand speed average). Began in an athletic balanced stance with a rhythmic load, then used a short controlled stride. Bat speed was electric, displayed a short simple swing plane and level good extension on his finish. Found multiple barrels with tons of loud contact. Up the middle line drive approach. Behind the plate, throw downs to second topped out at 68 mph; has smooth feet, a twitchy transfer, and soft hands. Tons of flexibility and athletic setup. Used a loose arm action with a high ¾ slot while showing consistent accuracy to the bag. The bat will play at the next level, super athletic.
