6-foot, 155-pound athletic build. Solid during batting practice, Slade recorded an exit velocity of 89 mph. (60.90 mph bat speed average). (18.38 mph hand speed average). Started in a tall balanced stance with a quick load, then used a short stride. Has a short swing plane, quick bat speed and good extension on his finish. He barreled up multiple balls with a lot of loud contact. Gap to gap line drive approach. Behind the plate, his best throw downs of the day reached a max velocity of 76 mph; showed a quick clean transfer, soft hands, and smooth athletic feet. consistently had pop times of 2.04-2.18. Staggered setup with tons of flexibility. Consistent accuracy to the bases, used a long arm action with a high ¾ slot. In the 60-yard dash, he clocked a time of 7.16.
Positional Profile: C/OF - Uncommitted
Body: 5-foot-11, 150-pounds. Lanky, wiry frame. Plenty of room for added growth.
Defense: 2.18-2.27 pop times. Transfers weight well. Keeps the feet underneath him with concise movements laterally.
Arm: RH. Very short action. Fast over the top with backspin on the throws.
Hit: RHH. Tall stance, weight slightly back with hands in the slot above the shoulder. Controlled swing with barrel control. On plane early with good extension through contact.
