01/21/17- 6-foot-2 180-pound proportionate frame. Body is already developed for age. Strong lower half and good shoulders. Mechanics are raw, marginal stuff right now on the bump. Worked completely out of the stretch at a very quick pace with the fastball ranging from 75-80 mph. The right handed hitter has a wide base and very good separation. He creates a slightly uphill path through the zone with present bat speed and pull side power potential with an exit velocity of 85 mph. Behind the plate, he shows quality receiving actions with strong wrists and soft hands. He has a clean transfer and a strong arm resulting in a 2.05 pop time that could easily improve with a little cleaner transfer to release. Overall a very intriguing prospect, especially behind the plate.
