10/16/16- Stanford recruit. The 6-foot-2, 205 pound outfielder is physical specimen. There is a lot of strength and athleticism in all of his actions on the field. Offensively, the left handed hitter has an early, somewhat stiff, load. This leads to length at times, but when he is short and direct to the ball, the ball jumps off of the barrel. This led to a line drive base hit to right field as well as an inside the park home run on a ball crushed to left-center field. Showing off the athleticism, he ran a 15.71 home to home time on the inside the park home run. In comparison, Andrew McCutchen ran a home to home in 15.44 and Will Myers in 16.58.

9/25/16 - Verbally committed to Stanford.

05/28/16- Florida commit. Robinson’s very physical 6-foot-2, 208-pound frame jumps out at you when you first see him. Left-handed hitter, has an early load with a disciplined approach at the plate. Covers the entire plate and creates leverage with a clean path through the zone. Present power with projection.

Florida commit. 6-foot-3 195 pounds and has a strong, lean, and projectable body.  At the plate he is a lefty hitter and has good power as he hit multiple balls out in BP at the FTB Tryout.  He also hits for average as he consistently produces hard line drives.  His 4.5 with a turn from home to first shows he has very good speed as well. 5 tool guy.

11/10/19: Athletic high-waisted, muscular and bursty frame, Robinson shows the tools to stick in the middle of the outfield and showed the ability to get on base going 3-for-5 out of the 2 spot in the game. Hands stay wide with pre-pitch movements keeping back elbow up and crunching with a front foot lift as he loads; the hips show the ability to drive through and starting the sequence of the swing. Hands show ability to turn the barrel and creates space to get his quick hands through the zone, especially on pitches to inner half of the plate; showed the ability to use his strength and drive balls to the pullside. Easy raw power showed up in BP with pullside lift; if he can get to the power more consistently in game the profile would make a jump for MLB Draft. Shows his ability to get out of the box when he needs it (4.31 H-1st, 4.47-4.68T); beat out an infield check swing for a single (4.11 H-1st). Speed shows up in CF as well where he can track the ball with ease and cover into the gaps flashing above-average defense; arm is full and long being fair for CF with ability to keep the ball online. Will be an interesting follow in spring.

8/19/19: Athletic and strong bodied at 6-foot-3, 210 pounds with average to above defensive skills and below average arm strength. He has great strength in his forearms and the ball comes off the bat well. However, he struggled with the bat (.185/.260/.215) caused by a loop in his swing and didn’t show much game power (.030 ISO). His instincts for the game are still developing.
