2/11/19

Georgia Tech recruit. At 6-foot-1, 170 pounds he has a lean build with room to add muscle. Quiet set-up with a slight coil load into a torso spin, hands follow linearly. Swing is smooth. Should be able to hit for average. Power may come with added strength, currently able to get the ball in the air. Creates leverage and natural loft. There is feel to hit and ability to turn the barrel. Defensively, he will need to continue to add flexibility and arm strength, but shows advanced feel to block and has a high energy and quality presence behind the plate. Overall, chance to be a solid defender with a well above average bat.

8/22/18

Georgia Tech recruit, the 6-foot-1, 170 pound left handed hitting catcher has a broad shoulder, projectable frame. Defensively, there is present tools with upside. There is some stiffness, but the hands work well. He has above average arm strength, with pop times ranging from 2.17-2..24 that will continue to improve as he cleans up he catch to release. Offensively, the bat is his best tool. He has long levers and present bat speed. He creates leverage and above average pull side power. There is bat to ball skill and power potential with a projectable frame and high offensive upside to follow.

1/27/18

Georgia Tech recruit. 6-foot, 165 pounds, athletic build that will add strength and athleticism with time. Defensively, he uses the athleticism well behind the plate. He could improve on flexibility to get in a more consistent receiving position, but overall the toolset is there to be a solid defensive catcher. Offensively, he showed ability to use the big part of the field. Able to get ball in the air with regularity. Shows the ability to not only create leverage, but turn the barrel and show above average hit tool with power potential. A lot of tools to like and follow going forward.

7/26/17

Young, 5-foot-11, 165-pound catcher has a projectable athletic build. Worked well behind the plate receiving by keeping his body quiet. Showed a strong arm in the showcase with a 2.1-2.2 pop time and in the game by nabbing a base stealer at third. Transfer was clean but would occasionally stand up to high. Could work on flexibility to become quick and more mobile behind the plate. Offensively the left handed hitting catcher swings with good intent. Occasionally steep to the ball. Has ability to use all fields as he laced a line drive single to left in his game

1/21/17

Lanky 5-foot-10, 150 pounds, looks taller. Left handed hitting catcher. Pop times were 2.13-2.15 with a velocity of 76 mph. 81 mph on the exit velocity. Simple swing, good bat path. Found consistent barrel in batting practice. Also translated to the game with a nice opposite field single in game shooting a line drive into the left field gap. Very projectable and bat will continue to improve will added strength as the path works.
