2/21/22

Closer Jonah Scolaro showed a difference maker in his changeup and an upper-80s fastball. He attacks with a mix of pitches and is an experienced, reliable arm for late in the game. The six-foot lefty earned the save in Friday's opener.

7/20/21

Cape Cod- Has undoubtedly been a weapon this summer for Hyannis, sporting a 0.75 WHIP and 0.94 BAA with 28 strikeouts over 20 innings of work. He generally works in the upper-80s with his fastball, touching the low-90s, while mixing in a quality low-80s change-up, mid-70s curve and upper-70s slider. An undersized (5-foot-10) and old-for-the-league (23 at the beginning of August) talent, the southpaw has popped on some radars after dazzling in his first two starts for the Harbor Hawks after transitioning to a starter's role on July 13 – allowing just one run over 11 innings while striking out 17 and walking just two.

03/13/17 - Florida State recruit. Currently ranked No. 86 in the Florida 2017 Class, No. 359 Overall. Currently stands at 5-foot-10, 170 pounds with a solid, athletic build. Short, quick arm action and uses different arm slots at times on his delivery. Fastball sat 85-87 mph, touching 88 along with a 73-74 mph curveball that had good spin and shape and a 79-80 mph slider that showed depth. Competes, goes after hitters.

10/16/16- Florida State recruit. The 5-foot-10, 170 pounder showed some athleticism on both sides of the ball. He has some present bat speed, but can get long and off balance at times making it tougher to hit the higher end velocity. Although when he stays short to the ball and balanced in the lower half he showed the ability to drive the ball to the opposite field. On the mound, he has a short arm action with a drop and drive delivery. Fastball sat 84-86 mph with some movement and curveball at 74-76 mph. He showed the ability to spin the curveball with depth striking out two in his inning of work.

5/3/16- Florida State commit who stands at 5-foot-10, 165 pounds with a lean, strong, athletic, and compact body. Ranked 71st in Florida and 232nd overall. Quick, simple, and repeatable delivery. He stays in line and uses his lower half well. Short arm action that fluctuates from over the top to low ¾. Fastball mostly sits 84-86 mph but he ran it up to 87-88 mph a couple of times. He has a plus curveball for a high school lefty as it is sharp, breaks two planes, and has good depth at 73-74 mph. He also has a 76-78 mph slider that is tight and breaks late. He showed a 77 mph changeup a couple of times that had arm side run and kept hitters off balance. He works fast and is confident on the mound.

7/9/15- Committed to FSU

7/15/15: Uncommitted incoming junior. 5-foot-10 165 pounds with a lean and athletic body with strength. Good separation and hand trigger for his load. Good bat speed and nice swing plane. A little stiff but the ball jumps off his bat.
