6-foot-1, 195-pound solid athletic frame. Solid at the plate, Xuereb's best exit velocity was 99 mph. (72.47 mph bat speed average). (23.68 mph hand speed average). Began in a tall balanced stance with a slow rhythmic load, then used a quick stride. Bat speed is electric, shows an upward swing plane and good extension on his finish. Found multiple barrels with a lot of loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Above average in the infield, had a live arm with throws that topped out at 88 mph; showed a clean natural exchange, smooth rhythmic feet, and soft consistent hands. Movements laterally were athletic and he fields the ball out front. Consistent accuracy to the bases, used a short arm action with a low ¾ slot. Solid projectable on the mound, showed quick arm speed, also used a long arm action with low ¾ arm angle. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who uses easy effort. Has even shoulder with an consistent balance point. Lands square with balanced finish. Threw his fastball 87-89 mph with a max of 90 mph; shows hard running action and control in the zone with heavy movement. (Max spin 2552; Avg 2406). His tight curveball (75-77) shows down in the zone command and slurvey action. (Max spin 2298; Avg 2059). Threw his sharp changeup (83-84) with fading action and in the zone command.
