01/21/17- The 6-foot-2, 175-pound left handed hitting outfielder has a long, lean frame with plenty of room to fill out. Offensively, he has a medium leg kick with short load. He is level through the zone, generates bat speed and consistently found the barrel, spraying line drives from gap-to-gap during batting practice. Also, generated an exit velocity of 89 mph with more to come as he continues to fill out and improve his separation. Shows some athleticism running a 7.01 60 yard dash. Defensively he shows a short arm action with accurate throws from the outfield topping out at 86 mph. There are present tools on a good frame that will continue to improve with at-bats and strength.
12/15/16- Stands at 6-foot-2, 175 pounds with a lean, athletic, projectable build. The Underclass Games participant again stood out at the plate with a smooth swing from the left side where he displayed good timing and rhythm, ability to use all of the plate. He shows some pull-side pop but also can take it the other way by letting the ball travel into the zone.
9/17/16- The very projectable 6-foot-2, 175 pound OF/RHP was very impressive throughout the day. During batting practice, the lefty stood out with an advanced approach to go with the present toolset. Driving balls up the middle and to the opposite field the entire first round, he then showed the ability to drive the ball pull side in round two. With a leg kick trigger, he was consistently in rhythm and on time to the ball. He showed a great, slightly uphill, path through the zone with the ability to adjust to the pitch. Throughout both round of batting practice and during the game he consistently found the barrel squaring balls up from gap to gap. The high end toolset and advanced approach with the projectable frame would project to a middle of the order type corner outfielder at the next level. Defensively, he showed an average arm with a short arm action from the outfield with the ability to range and make all of the plays in a corner outfield position. On the mound, he carries over the short arm action with fastball that ranged from 74-80 mph and a breaking ball that topped out at 64 mph. His future is in the left handed batters box as the swing projects to play at a very high level.
