3/10/20: Dunn underwent hamate surgery in February and is currently easing his way back into the lineup with late inning appearances. He entered in left field to start the bottom of the 7th during Friday night’s win against Wake Forest and grounded out in his only at-bat. On Saturday he entered as a pinch runner in the 8th and was immediately picked off by the catcher at first base. Sunday, he entered in the 7th to play shortstop and had a pinch hit RBI on a 4-3-6 DP. When fully healthy, Dunn is a versatile defender with the ability to play up the middle on the dirt and the corners in the outfield. He projects best at second base, where he’s a likely average defender at the pro level. He also shows an average arm and average speed. A right-handed hitter with a career ISO of .108 and equal walk and strikeout rates of 14%, Dunn is a capable offensive player, but his main draft value will be his defensive versatility and on-base ability. (Seifert)

2/14/20: Versatile right-handed hitting utility type prospect is currently out of the lineup with a broken hamate, but is likely to return this season.

3/14/18Freshman OF Lucas Dunn was impressive in limited at-bats showing strong hitter’s hands, a smooth stroke and good balance at the plate. (Seifert)
