Jacoby was an intriguing player to watch. The rising Senior has great confidence in his repertoire fills up the zone, changing from a submarine to a ¾ slot throughout his outing. He was 74-77 mph with his fastball that had sinking action which helped him get ground balls all day. A frisbee type slider from his submarine slot kept hitters uncomfortable from the right side.
09/15/18- Jacoby batted leadoff for the Squeeze and promptly got them going with a hard single up the middle. He followed that up with a hard single to right center in his second at-bat. Jacoby shows an advanced approach at the plate with the ability to hit to all fields. Jacoby participated in the showcase on Saturday morning and had a very good showing there as well.
