10/20/18 - Miami commit. 6-foot-3, 175-pound right-handed pitcher, athletic, projectable, room for continued physical development. Quick, short arm action, breaks and gets out front quickly, ¾ slot, hides the ball well. Short, quick delivery, creates deception with abrupt movements. Fastball sat 88-90 with armside run. Showed an 11/5 curveball, some slurve-like action at-times, 77-78. Changeup, flashed fade, 84. One of the top arms in the class of 2021. Struck out three in two innings, allowed two hits, issued one walk.
01/07/18- Miami recruit. Stands at 6-foot-3, 175 pounds with an athletic, projectable frame. On the mound he works with a quick, up tempo pace and a simple windup. Almost seems to jump on hitters on his delivery. Featured a fastball that sat mostly in the 85-87 mph range with life along with a 63-64 mph curveball and a 69-70 mph change up. Pitches with confidence and looks to attack hitters. There is some effort, but the arm works and should see jumps in velocity and he continues to mature. In the field he shows athletic actions, rangin freely to his right and left and fielding the ball under control. At the plate, Anello showed live drive potential when he stays on time and in rhythm.
08/16/17- The right handed pitcher has a big frame that looks ready to shoot up a few inches and can fill out 15-20 pounds easily.. With an up tempo delivery he showed a quick arm and a fastball that worked 80-82 with some late riding life. He also featured a curveball at 61-64 and a changeup at 64 mph. There is athleticism and a quick arm that should make some big jumps as he grows.
