10/12/18 - Florida commit. 5-foot-9, 145-pound left-handed pitcher, athletically built. Works with a long arm action out of a high ¾ slot. Drop and drive delivery, lands towards first base, works across his body. When able to sync everything up, worked in the zone. Fastball sat 87-90 with sink low in the zone. Slider, 1/7 shape, late break at-times, 80-82. Changeup at 81.

03/10/18- Florida recruit. The lefty has added some strength, is undersized, but lower half is stronger. There is some length in the back, but still gets to a release point consistently. Works from a high 3/4 slot and the arm is quick with present hand speed. The fastball sat 86-89 mph and showed a feel for a curveball with tight spin and depth at times at 77-79 mph.

01/07/18- Florida recruit. Stands at 5-foot-10, 150 pounds with a slender, athletic frame. Works out of the high ¾ slot with quick, clean arm action. Repeats well throughout his entire delivery. Featured a fastball that was mostly 84-87 mph, touching 88 along with a 78-79 mph change up that shows some fade and a 74-75 mph curveball with shape. Throws strikes and knows how to pitch. As Cabarcas continues to add to his frame, he should see a jump in velocity.

06/21/17- Committed to the University of Florida.

05/28/17 - Cabarcas has always shown well above aver pitchability and this weekend was no different. He recorded nine of his twelve outs via the strikeout. He attacks both sides of the plate with a fastball that ranged from 83-86 mph and has been up to 88 mph out of the pen this spring. He mixes that with a curveball at 76-78 mph with tight spin and depth that he can use for both a “get-me-over” and a strikeout pitch. Very intriguing, especially as he continues to add strength.

04/19/17- Cabarcas would come in and shut down Coral Springs in his three innings of work. On a lean, athletic frame he has a clean high 3/4 arm action and showed the ability to locate an 84-86 mph fastball down in the zone to both sides of the plate with some late life. Cabarcas would also show the ability to throw an above average curveball at 73-76 mph with tight spin and depth, that also proved to be a swing and miss pitch. He would also work in an 81-83 mph changeup to right-handed hitters. He would finish with three innings pitched while allowing no runs on three hits and striking out five. He competes in the zone with three pitches and present stuff with more to come.

10/08/16- 5-foot-10, 140 pounder with a lean, wiry build on a smaller frame. Clean, quick arm with a simple delivery and repeats well. Shows a good three pitch mix and pounds the zone. Fastball sat 83-84 mph with some run, change up was 74-75 mph, and his curveball sat 70-71 mph that showed some good depth. Had six strikeouts in four innings. Also displayed a good pick off move that kept runners close to the bag.

3/22/16- 5-foot-9, 140 pounder with a lean, wiry build on a smaller frame. Threw out of the high ¾ arm slot with a high leg kick before his delivery. Repeats well. Fastball sat 79-81 mph with run along with a 64-66 mph curveball that had some looping action and good depth. Change up was 71-72 mph with some sinking action. Mixed it up well during the game and showed good poise on the mound for his age against a good hitting lineup. Also displayed a deceptive pickoff move that kept runners tight to the bag during his time on the mound. Good looking young arm that will continue to improve as he matures and gains more strength.
