South Florida Commit, 5-foot-11, 187-pound solid mature build. Solid at the plate, Puckett had a max exit velocity of 96 mph. (67.74 mph bat speed average). (24.41 mph hand speed average). Begins in a balanced athletic stance with a slow controlled load, then uses a short toe tap stride. Bat speed was quick, used a short level swing plane and level finish. Barreled up multiple balls with some loud contact. Line drive gap to gap approach. Solid showed his live arm in the infield with position velocities up to 88 mph; had soft hands, smooth athletic footwork, and a quick clean exchange. Fielded the ball out front with athletic movement laterally. Consistent accuracy to the bases, used a long arm action with a ¾ slot.

Listed at 5-foot-10, 170 pounds, but looks to have a longer frame than that. Defensively, there is some stiffness in the actions, hands work, but would need to work on first step and range to stick at short. Most likely a third baseman in the future. The best tool is his bat and will continue to carry him. The left-handed hitter has a knack for the barrel. Front foot is pre-set inward and has a toe-tap load, but manages to stay very balanced with the lower half, using it well, while remaining simple with the top half. The swing has a slight uphill path, aggressively to the pull side with present bat speed and strength. Very high offensive ceiling to follow.

A stocky 5-foot-9, 170 pound frame. Present strength and athleticism. Defensively, he has sound all around actions, soft hands and throws were accurate. Offensively, he has a simple leg kick and drives with the backside, clearing his hips and firing the hands through the zone. Above average bat speed and utilizes present strength well. Bat to ball skill with gap to gap power and more to come in the future. May eventually be a very offensive second basemen, but has a lot to like in the offensive profile.

Currently stands at 5-foot-9, 160 pounds with a stocky, athletic frame. Shows a compact, quick swing from the left side of the plate looking to go gap-to-gap. During the game he drove a ball on the outside corner of the plate deep into the left-center field gap for a bases clearing triple. Takes a tough at-bat, doesn’t get cheated.

Stocky left-handed hitter, he has a short, compact swing with present bat speed and above average strength. Drove a double into the gap and the bat will be one to follow.
