08/18/17 - Angevine has consistently shown he is an above average defensive catcher. He is flexible, gets into quality receiving positions and has strength in his shoulders and wrists with soft hands. The transfer is clean and has a strong arm with pop times from 1.95-2.0. He appears to have added 10-15 pounds of muscle and it shows up offensively. He can get rotational at time, but the path works and the lower half is stronger helping generate gap-to-gap power.

6/22/16- The 6-foot 155-pounder had a low flexible setup with a quality target presentation, hands work well and did not get beat by tough pitches. A Quick transfer and an average arm had Angevine at a 2.0 as his best pop time.  At the plate Angevine had a good path through the zone, but the swing got long and the lack of strength showed as he dropped his top hand. Angevine is very solid defensively and will be very interesting going forward to see how the swing progresses as he continues to get stronger.

Angevine has a low flexible setup with a quality target presentation, hands work well and did not get beat by tough pitches. Above average arm and quick transfer resulted in a 2.0 pop in game while throwing out multiple runners. At the plate Angevine had a good path through the zone, but the swing got long and the lack of strength showed as he dropped his top hand. Angevine is very solid defensively and will be very interesting going forward to see how the swing progresses as he continues to get stronger.
