PBR Showdown

Tennessee commit. A physical specimen at 6-foot-3, 217-pounds, right-handed hitting shortstop, athletically built with strength throughout and the potential to add even more to his frame. Offensively, House has an impressive combination of quickness and strength in his hands, uses his lower half very well to generate power. Everything that comes off his bat comes off loud. Displayed advanced feel and awareness in each at-bat, hits like a professional. Is able to make adjustments from pitch to pitch, and get something he can handle, even if he does get fooled, which rarely happens, he has enough athleticism and strength in his hands to get the barrel on the ball and create hard contact. More times than not, goes after the first pitch he likes early in the count, does not mess around.

Tennessee commit. Large frame with well developed muscular strength throughout.  Broad shoulder physically ready right now player. Above avg runner. Defensively: plays SS probably a 3b future but don’t get caught napping this kid plays a tough SS.  Very good first step aggressive defender goes to his glove side and backhand with confidence, made a big play on run coming in on a ball for me. Arm is strong and accurate, heads up player. Offensively:  was everything he was hyped up to be. three hits with a double a home run HR, & the opposite field single might have been the most impressive of the three. Well balanced easy down strider shifts weight and really uses the hips to get the hands out front. Quick bat with explosive power and ability to hit to all fields.  Bottom line this guy is ready to go out now and he has another year of HS, exciting player to watch on both sides the game, game changing abilities offensively.

The 6-foot-3, 200-pound House is a tough one to nail down, because he is so young and big for the position.  Much of his future will be determined by what his body does and the work he puts in. Sky is the limit for this kid.  Plenty of arm for the position and has the footwork. Actions will stick as long as he maintains the range and body type needed.  The freshman has the offensive tools to profile at a corner position if he were to outgrow his current spot.  House shows plenty of bat speed and raw power, whistling the bat through the zone.   His approach appears pull-oriented at this time, hitting out of a wider base while remaining athletic gives himself a chance to stay back.  Also a standout on the mound, he may be asked to pull double duty in the future.
