Uncommitted. 6-foot, 185 pounds. It’s hard to believe that this versatile athlete hasn’t found a college home yet, with his near plus run tool and feel to hit. With the deep talent pool in this vast state with many rural areas, some amazing talent still remains under the radar. But we turn over every rock, and there are some true gems on this Indians roster for years to come. Moree is the heartbeat of this team, both on and off the field. He brings energy, work ethic, leadership, and consistency to this dugout. Every action in his game is smooth, from hip pace/forward move at the plate to sweet footwork and glove work on the left side of the infield. What stands out most offensively is the bat speed, effortlessness, and all fields approach. Instead of taking big hacks at the plate, he focuses on controlling his body and swing path. This allows him to consistently barrel mid-upper 80’s arms, while still being able to decelerate on offspeed pitches. Defensively, Moree can play anywhere in the infield. He has A/AVG range at any position with impressive instincts. The footwork is extremely advanced and his soft hands & anticipation can read hops with ease. His internal clock, body control, and momentum through the ball are exceptional. The arm strength will continue to improve and he throws from all angles. Someone will be getting great makeup with a high level of athleticism and potential here.
