5/7/18-   LHP Justin Wrobleki (Sequoyah HS, GA) settled in and struck out four straight at one point. Coming from a 3/4 slot, his fastball was 87-91. His slider had tilt at 80-81 and the changeup was a swing-and-miss pitch with hard fade in the low 80s. He is committed to Clemson.

8/13/19: Slender bodied lefty at 6-foot-1, 185 pounds. Saw the best outing of his Cape season as he pitched five shutout innings vs Orleans. With fair deception from a three-quarter slot, Wrobleski mainly worked his fastball in the 88-91 mph range and touched a few 92s in the second and third innings. Spin rate varied from 2080-2250 rpm. He held his delivery together for the first couple innings, but began flying open in the third. Trying to self-correct, he landed more and more across his body as the game progressed. His out pitch was a big bending curveball at 76-78 mph. It played up to above average with his repeated control of the pitch, especially early in the game before he lost his delivery. Also mixed in a below average 78-81 mph changeup and manipulating his curveball at times, throwing the pitch harder for slider shape at 81-83 mph. Overall, Wrobleski’s breaking pitch alone makes him a prospect, but the inconsistency of his delivery likely limits him to short stints out of the bullpen where his present low-90s fastball velocity could creep into the mid-90s. With limited success so far during his Tiger career (0-2, 10.39 ERA, 13 IP, 16 H, 14 BB, 15 SO) and this summer in the Cape (3-1, 6.17 ERA, 23.1 IP, 24 H, 15 BB, 22 SO) he has plenty of time to put it all together in time for the 2021 draft.
