Uncommitted. Sills, 6-1 165, looks better every time out on the mound that we see him. Sills has really good arm speed and the ball is starting to jump out of the hand as he is starting to mature and fill out. He was upper 80’s, topping 89, to go along with a mid 70’s breaking ball; Sills is super athletic, has a ton of room to grow and mature adding strength and mass and could absolutely continue to see his stuff uptick on the mound. This could be a very good arm on the mound in the near future at the college level.

10/04/19

Uncommitted. 6-foot, 165-pounder came out of the pen pumping 85-86, and settled in at 81-84. The arm is live and whippy coming out of a ¾ slot, pitches predominantly to his gloveside. Also flashed a 69-71 breaking ball, tendency to get underneath it. More velocity likely to come as he fills into his frame.

10/01/19

6-foot-0 165 pounds. The junior right hander has a leaner frame and ran his fastball up to 86 before settling in at 82-84 to his fastball; he threw from a low ¾ arm slot as well and the arm slot played a lot into the whippy arm action that Sills had.The arm is quick and it’s hard not to imagine Sills throwing harder once he matures and gets stronger; his command was average in his outing as he continually spun off a lot of pitches but he was competitive in finding a way to harness the zone when he needed. He also flashed a 70-71 slider in his relief appearance.
