Georgia Tech football and baseball commit. One of the most athletic prospects in the 2020 class, can fly around the outfield and on the basepaths. Stands 5-foot-8, 180-pound with a strong lower half, right-handed hitting outfielder. At the plate, balanced setup, hands load back and up, keeps barrel vertical, short leg kick timing trigger, good balanced throughout. Barrel path works mostly level, quick hands, looks to create line drive contact. Plays into his strength, which is his speed. Once on base, immediately looking to advance bases, is not afraid to test even the best backstops. His reputation as a superb athlete precedes itself, gets into the pitchers head because they know what is coming. Had a hard hit single back up the middle on an 88 mph fastball against Allatoona.
McCollum is a live bodied Duel-Sport athlete from Dutchtown. The compact and strong right-handed hitting outfielder can really turn on the jets and has promising bat-speed as well. originally committed to North Carolina State, McCollum has decided to say home and is now set to attend Georgia Tech to Football and Baseball next year.
