5/3/16- Iowa commit. No. 2 prospect in Iowa.Two-way athlete, 6-foot-3, 190-pound left-handed hitting 3B/RHP, lanky physical frame with a young look. Impressed at the plate on Saturday. Hits from a wide base with a slightly open setup. Leg lift trigger, coils upper half, leg hangs in the air. Creates leverage through swing. Showed the ability to consistently find the barrel working gap to gap. Took an 87 mph fastball off the left field fence. On the mound arm is long and loose, clean arm action, repeats well, slightly open stride. Showed ability to command fastball, 87-90 mph, arm side run. Curveball ranged 73-77 mph, more lateral action at the top end of velocity, typically 11/5 short two-plane action, swing and miss potential. Changeup has fading action, showed well to left-handed hitters, fastball arm action.

Super 60 (2/7/16) - Lean flexible body. Leg kick trigger. Gathers energy well in load. Transfers weight through baseball at contact. Clean bat path from left-side with looseness in hands. Quality gap to gap approach and consistently squared baseball with hard contact from line-drive swing plane. 87 mph exit velocity with wood off a tee. Moves athletically on defense. Above avg. glove and feet. Plays with rhythm. Long arm action producing 85 mph velocity across infield. Throws are accurate to bag with above avg. carry.

7-13-2018: 6-foot-3, 190 pounds. Semi-athletic figure with projection. Three-quarters arm slot with a full arm path. Good arm speed. Three pitch arsenal; FB, CB, and CH. FB sat 87-89 mph, topped 91. Straight with good command. CB sat 74-76 mph. Average pitch, big 12/6 arc. Keeps hitters off balance. CH is his clear No. 1 pitch. Sat 78-80 mph. Drops off the table. Threw it in any count to both right and left-hand hitters. Plus movement, disappeared. Swing and miss pitch. He went six and two-thirds, allowed no earned runs while striking out six and walking only one. Knows how to pitch and is looking to secure a major role in Iowa’s rotation entering his junior year.
