Holy stood out at the Creekside JUCO Classic back in September for his ability to hit to all fields with a balanced right-handed stroke. The 6-foot, 190-pound sophomore also impressed on the dirt, showing twitchy athleticism that in turn fuels his range and overall ability as a shortstop. At Iowa Central's Scout Day a few weeks prior to that, Holy showcased his all-around skillset by running a 6.82-second 60, throwing an 88 mph dart across the infield, and posting respective max and average exit velocities of 98.85 and 94.35 mph--the latter ranking among PBR's National JUCO Scout Day leaders--from the right side of the plate.
6-foot, 160-pound right-handed hitting shortstop. 6.96 runner. Square stance with controlled leg kick trigger, aggressive swing with solid bat speed, slight lift through contact, hard line drive contact to mid/pull side of field, 88 mph exit velocity. Light on his feet, fields deep occasionally, soft hands, playable arm across, solid overall actions, 82 mph arm strength across infield.
6-foot, 160-pound right-handed hitting shortstop. 6.94 runner. Taller athletic stance, leg kick trigger, has balance in swing, good extension through contact, stays on and through, drives ball well to middle of field with hard line drive contact, 84 mph exit velocity. Active feet and moves well in field, soft glove, consistent fielder, plays with rhythm and tempo, has accuracy and carry to bag, arm plays well across field, 78 mph arm strength across infield.
