After putting together a number of impressive performances across the summer circuit, highlighted by a standout one at the Illinois State games, INF Aadden Guerrero (St. Laurence, 2025) continued that trend during our time in McCook. Standing at an athletic 5-foot-10, 170-pounds, Guerrero started his day by registering a 6.98 in the 60-yard dash. At the plate, Guerrero features an aggressive but controlled right-handed swing that works direct to the ball and shoots it to all fields with intent. Throughout his round, Guerrero reached exit velocity highs of 90.1 mph and also averaged 86.2 mph. During the infield portion of the event, Guerrero’s athleticism was on full display, as he is a quick mover from side-to-side with sure-handed actions and an arm that topped at 84 mph across the diamond.

He had a well-connected upper and lower-half that transitioned well into gameplay. His athletic hands were apparent both at the plate and in the infield where he had natural up-the-middle tendencies with the ability to range to both sides. A strong arm to pair, Guerrero fired his best ball across the diamond at 84 mph. The 5-foot-10, 160-pound prospect also ran a 6.98 60 time to begin the event. A big winner in Rantoul, Guerrero is a prospect to follow moving forward.

5-foot-10, 160-pound frame. Athletic build with room to grow. Guerrero was able to pick up a couple hits on Friday, helping his team come from behind and pick a win. Guerrero showcased advanced bat-to-ball skills to go along with his gap-to-gap approach. Guerrero also showed to be an advanced defender up the middle, flashing his range.

A quartet of infielders who stood out, especially defensively were Aaden Guerrero (Lyons Township), Gavin Triezenberg (Brother Rice), Andrew Kouris (Nazareth Academy) and Francisco Rodriguez (De La Salle).

INF Aadden Guerrero (Lyons Township) continues to show well everytime we see him and he took one of the more fluid rounds of defense in the entire event. Guerrero has soft hands and athletic actions, playing through the ball in rhythm with feel. He is sure-handed with a clean double play turn and strong arm that topped at 85 mph and can come from multiple platforms. The right-handed hitter has an athletic, quick swing that stays through the hitting zone a long time. 7.08 runner in the 60.
