Kutzendorf enjoyed a breakout junior campaign in which he posted a 9-1 record – his only loss coming in the Class 2A sectional championship game. The left-hander notched 128 strikeouts, and finished with a 1.26 ERA and a 0.84 WHIP. At the plate, he was equally as impressive, batting .381 with 8 homers (5 in one week), 30 runs and 37 RBI.
