3.14.18 - Lipscomb commit, currently ranked No. 179 in PBR Illinois’ Class of 2018. 6-foot, 160-pound athletic right-handed pitcher. Pitches with fire, wears his emotions on his sleeve. Works from a ¾ arm slot with a long, loose arm action, slight stab on the backside. Athletic delivery, finishes crossing over towards first base. Fastball, glove-side cut at times, mostly straight, started the game 85-87 mph, settled in at 83-85. Used fastball effectively to climb the ladder and get batters to chase, located waist up. Off-speed was used sparingly to begin the game, changeup 80-81 with fade. Curveball featured a big change of speed, coming in at 70 mph with big, looping break, introduced later in his outing, mixing in high fastballs with low, looping curveballs. Struck out eight batters in 4.2 innings pitched.

3.16.17 - 6-foot, 160-pound, athletically built, right-handed pitcher. Projectable arm action, works long and loose out of a high ¾ slot. Fastball works straight, thrown for strikes, sat 80-83 mph. Flashed two different breaking balls. Curveball worked 10/4, depth to it, 67-68 mph. Mixed in a slider/cutter, tighter 10/4 action, short break, 73-75 mph. Went three innings, no hits, 4 strikeouts and no walks.

1.16.17 - 6-foot, 160-pound right-handed hitting RHP/2B with a lanky, athletic frame. At the plate, right-handed hitter, fluid rhythm, bat speed and natural lift in swing. Showed strength thru contact with 90 mph exit velocity from a tee. Balanced setup with a short leg lift stride and collapse on the backside. Defensively has a short arm action from a high ¾ arm slot. Clocked at 66 mph across the infield.  On the mound works from a high ¾ arm angle with a loose arm action. Drop and drive delivery with a high front side. Smooth rhythm working in line with home plate. Slide step delivery from the stretch. Fastball has some downhill tilt sitting 81-82 and topping out at 83 mph. Showed feel for his curveball with 12-6 shape, tight rotation and depth at 68-71 mph for strikes. Changeup was firm at 76-77 mph.
