10/28/12 - Hoffmann is a 5-foot-9, 160-pound third baseman/catcher. Hoffmann showed a short arm action across the diamond delivery accurate throws to the bag at 64 mph. Behind the plate he recorded pop times of 2.61-2.72. At the plate he hit from an open stance using a short stride to get to contact.
