Parkland commit, currently ranked No. 179 in the state. Listed at a compact 5-foot-10, 180-pounds with round shoulders and strength throughout. The left-handed hitter started in left field and hit out of the six hole, finishing the day 2-for-4 with a home run, double, two RBIs and a run scored. Scrappy approach at the plate, has some intent in his operation but remains mostly simple, hands load slightly and work on-plane through the zone. Quality actions in the outfield with a quick first step, moves well with range, accurate reads off the bat, arm plays with carry and accuracy to his targets.

Verbally committed to Parkland College.

OF/LHP Cody DelFavero (Morris, 2024) is an uncommitted name-to-know that has continued to impress our staff throughout the summer and into the fall. Standing at a strong, 5-foot-10, 180-pounds, round shoulders with strength in the lower-half. He plays the game hard, competes at the plate, hustles out of the box, and attacks the zone on the mound. A left-handed hitter, he has a simple swing that’s short and direct to the ball with above-average bat speed. Covers the plate well with above-average bat-to-ball, uses the whole field. He roamed centerfield with confidence, consistently making plays and showing a strong arm that we’ve recorded up to 88 mph at past events. He started on the mound in the semi-final game, throwing a complete game and earning the victory. He created tough at-bats for hitters throughout, showing feel to control three pitches well. His fastball sat in the low-80s, and he mixed in a sweeping curveball and a change-up, throwing both with confidence in any count.

OF/LHP Cody DelFavero (Morris, 2024) is a strong, compact 5-foot-10, 180-pound uncommitted senior with athleticism, running a 6.87 in the 60 to start his workout. He was all over the barrel in BP, generating power (94.6 mph and 361 feet) from a short, flat left-handed stroke with hand speed to pair. DelFavero showed that inherent strength in game, missing a home run to the pull-side in gameplay by a few feet. 

OF/LHP Cody DelFavero (Morris, 2024) stands at a strong, 5-foot-8, 181-pounds. DelFavero is a left/left prospect who took one of the more physical rounds of BP on the day. He flashed strong, explosive hands with a natural uphill path and registered a max exit velocity of 92.9 mph (87.8 mph avg). Defensively, he showed smooth feet and a strong arm, producing a max velocity of 84 mph on throws to home plate. In the mound he showed three-pitch feel from the left side with his fastball touching 81.1 mph with command to the glove side. His curveball showed a 10/4 shape, and he rounded out his arsenal with a change-up that showed downer action that he was able to land for strikes. Also ran a 7.17 60 time. 

5-foot-10, 180-pound, strong-bodied, uncommitted, left/left two-way prospect. Started in left field and hit in the five-hole. Collected one of the three hits for Morris on the day, finishing 1-for-2 at the plate. Strong hands, stays short to the ball and lined a single to left-field in his second at-bat. Also, came out of the bullpen and fired three quality innings for Morris, scattering four hits, one run while striking out two. 

OF Cody DelFavero (Morris, 2024) is listed at a lean 5-foot-10, 180-pounds with an athletic build and round shoulders. The left-handed hitter has quick/strong hands at the plate with controlled aggression, staying on the barrel to his pull-side and up the middle, reaching up to 94.6 mph for his max exit velocity (348’ max distance). DelFavero plays lighter and quicker on his feet than his size would indicate in the outfield. He attacks the baseball and takes quality routes, playing through with intent and a strong, clean arm that topped at 88 mph.
