6/8/18 - Drafted by the Washington Nationals in the 22nd Round out of Notre Dame.
6/4/14 - Ranked No. 4 in Illinois’ 2015 class, No. 18 overall. Verbally committed to Notre Dame. High-level defensive shortstop, advanced natural actions, plenty of arm to stick at position at next level.  Listed at 5-foot-10, 160-pounds, may be closer to 6-foot now.   Highly athletic arm, throws have easy carry and accuracy.  Extremely quick transfer turning the double play, feeds are quick as well exchange.  At times can get a little flashy defensively, but takes over in middle of the diamond, wants the baseball.  Threw away ball on long throw on ground ball to his bare hand for only error of the day.  Ran 3.95 to first on sac bunt to third base.  Ran 4.2 on groundout to second.  Also singled in six-hole.  Open stance with hands held high, getting back to square and staying balanced.
4/23/14 Ranked No. 4 in Illinois’ 2015 class, No. 18 overall. Verbally committed to Notre Dame. High-level defensive shortstop, advanced natural actions, plenty of arm to stick at position at next level. Highly athletic arm, throws have easy carry and accuracy. Plays with unquantifiable bounce. Offensively, hits from left side, balanced open setup, athletic hands. Went 2-for-4 in game, with both hits to left-center field, including a triple to the fence. Drove in two runs, scored one. Clocked a 4.36 home-to-first on 6-3 putout. Overall, should become high-interest draft prospect next year despite slight 5-foot-10, 160-pound frame.

8/8/12 Daily looks to be one of the most promising young middle infielders in the Class of 2015, as the 5-foot-11, 160-pounder demonstrated fluid athleticism in all aspects of the game.  As a left-handed hitting shortstop, he proved to be athletic, running a 7.09 in the 60. He showcased advanced defensive actions, which included quick feet, concise lateral movements and a clean transfer. He also demonstrated plenty of arm across the diamond, as he was clocked at 82 mph with carry. At the plate, he showed good rhythm and balance with a level swing. Daily demonstrated excellent barrel control as he sprayed the ball to all fields. Cole is definitely one to watch for the class of 2015.
