MIF Cole Lockwood (Libertyville, 2025) was another junior that came away from this event a winner. Lockwood controlled the barrel from an easy, simple right-handed swing, and he showed feel to spray line drives to all fields during his round of BP. That feel to hit showed in game, as Lockwood finished the event 4-for-6 with four singles, no strikeouts, and two runs scored. He’s also a 6.90 runner in the 60 with steady, sure-handed actions on the infield that play well on the move. 

MIF Cole Lockwood (Libertyville, 2025) continues to look the part of a top of the order, left-handed hitting middle infielder who can stick on the dirt moving forward. Standing at a wiry 5-foot-9, 145-pounds, Lockwood ran a 6.91 to start the workout, which was the second fastest of the day. Lockwood has a quiet and simple approach with loose hands and sneaky pop that produced a max exit velocity of 91.5 mph and an average exit velocity of 82.5 mph. He also had the second farthest batted ball of the event at 334’. On the infield he is a smooth defender that plays with body control and an accurate arm that can play from multiple slots.

Uncommitted, 5-foot-9, 145-pound, wiry, athletic, left-handed hitting shortstop. Started at shortstop and hit in the seven-hole. Steady defender with feel for the game, soft hands and natural infield actions. Handled an awkward in-between hop with all-kinds of spin on it with polish and ease; showed an internal clock and IQ. Offensively, simple, repeatable swing, stays within himself and looks to control the barrel. Spray, line-drive approach with above-average bat-to-ball skills.
