Fastball sat 84-85 mph from short, quick, high arm slot, toe up at balance point, high leg kick, hands bounce above head before they separate for rhythm, challenged hitters with fastball early in the count. Struck out two in the seventh, both on 78 mph sliders. Slider is a plus pitch, thrown aggressively from 75-79 mph, mostly 78/79 mph. Sharp, late, two-plane break, 1/7 shape, both strikeouts under the hands of right-handed hitters, both swining. McAlilly is committed to Loras College.
