7/25/19

Virginia commit. 6-foot-1, 160-pound left-handed hitting middle infielder, lean projectable frame, lanky build, carries some lean strength. Premium contact bat, quiet athletic setup, on time loading action. Above average bat control, spray hitter to all fields. 4.35 runner down the line. Athletic defender at short, easy body control and soft hands, arm plays accurate and with carry.

4/03/19

Virginia commit, currently ranked No. 36 in the Illinois’ 2020 class. 6-foot-1, 160-pound, athletically-built, left-handed hitting shortstop. Took quality at-bats all game long out of the two hole. Finished 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored. Open setup, smooth load and confident in the box. Lets the ball travel, loose hands, stays inside the ball, uses the whole field, consistently on time and found the barrel. Singled sharply back up the middle in his second at-bat. Lined a two-strike single to left-center field in his final at-bat. Defensively, smooth, easy actions, plays under control and hands work soft. Clean release, average arm strength across the diamond.

3/16/19

Virginia commit. Left-handed hitting SS, 6-foot-1, 160-pounds, wiry lanky build, projects. Showed feel for the barrel throughout the weekend. Loose hands, level path, on time with quiet takes. Went 2-for-2 in this contest before being intentionally walked twice.

3/15/19

Virginia commit. 6-foot-1, 160-pound middle infielder with lanky frame, room for added strength as he continues filling out. Defensively, glides to the ball, fields in stride and out front. Quick and clean transfers, defends in rhythm with complete body control. Made an excellent diving play deep in the hole against Triad. Left-handed hitter, open and balanced setup, active, loose hands. Fast bat, compact, flat path to the ball. Roped a double into the left-center gap to start the bottom of the eighth and eventually scored the walk-off run.

10/17/18 - Verbally committed to Virginia.

7/27/18 - A 6-foot-1, 160-pound frame with room to add size and strength. Offensively, the right handed hitter was on time all day at OK Limited Series. In the box, the left-handed hitter bats from an open and athletic set-up. Uses a hanging leg kick and late hand load before launching them on an efficient and flat path to contact. In the game, went an impressive  3-for-3 with 2 doubles, spraying the ball all over the yard. Defensively, shows a good baseball clock and makes the routine plays cleanly without flash with an accurate arm.

5.26.18 - Currently No. 59 in Illinois’ Class of 2020. 6-foot, 155-pound left-handed hitting shortstop, lean, athletic frame. Defensively, confident, moves athletically, present range, able to get to balls up the middle and in the hole, quick release, maintains body control. At the plate, side, open setup, smooth rhythm, athletic hands. Executed a bunt up the first base line to move a man from first to second. One hit in three plate appearances, single to the opposite field.

2.18.18 - 6-foot, 155-pound, left-handed hitting infielder with an athletic, lean build; plenty of room to continue to fill out. At the plate, open, wide setup, smooth load and maintains balance throughout. Loose hands, present bat speed, consistent hard contact to the pull side. Natural lift in swing, fluid rhythm throughout and 79 mph exit velocity from a tee. On the infield, confident, receptive hands, works through the baseball, clean release. Loose arm action and throws topped at 79 mph. 7.41 runner in the 60.

9.9.17 - Lanky, left-handed hitting shortstop. Defensively has advanced actions, good footwork and a strong, accurate arm. At the plate tall, balanced setup. Level swing path. Two run triple in game, 4.93 on the turn.
