Morton JC commit. Currently ranked No. 82 in the state, Lee went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk, and a run scored out of the cleanup spot for the Meteors. Standing in at a well-proportioned 6-foot, 200-pounds, Lee has a strong, slightly uphill bat path with intent to lift the ball. He doubled in his first at-bat driving the ball to the opposite gap, and later showed a patient and disciplined approach late in the game to draw a walk to load the bases during the Meteors’ seventh inning rally.

C Dasaan Lee (De La Salle) has been trending up for much of the 2023 calendar year and continued on his upward trajectory at the event. The 6-foot,210-pound, broad-shouldered, right-handed hitter has a potent right-handed bat that was all over the barrel with authority once again. Lee lets the ball travel deep into the zone and stays on-plane with loose, strong hands and drove balls with natural lift to both gaps. Registered an average exit velocity of 91.1 mph, just four mph shy of his max of 95.4 mph, underscoring the amount of hard barrels he found throughout his round. He also launched his furthest batted ball 345’, had a top-three average bat speed of the event (73.2 mph), topped at 79 mph from behind the crouch and registered a low pop time of 2.08.

Standing in a strong 6-foot, 200-pound frame, C/1B Dasaan Lee (Thornwood, 2024) was a regular producer throughout the event, especially on Wednesday night, where he worked on the barrel regularly to all fields. A simple and easy swing with a flat path, Lee has some quickness to the barrel at times, producing a peak bat speed of 78.8 mph in Tuesday’s workout. From the crouch, Lee posted his quickest pop time of 2.00 slightly quicker than his last recorded pop in the winter. A steady corner infielder, he produced an 81 mph velocity on throws to third base.

C Dasaan Lee (Thornwood, 2024) was all over the barrel with authority during his round of BP resulting in a 90.3 mph average exit velocity, good for third at the event. Lee stays quiet and balanced throughout with strong hands, present bat speed and a mature middle of the field approach. Lee showed off a strong arm from behind the plate, reaching up to 77 mph from the chute with a quick clean transfer, reaching as low as 2.09 for his pop-time. Physical right-handed bat to follow moving forward.

Hit: RHH. Wide setup, quiet pre-pitch movements, small leg lift. Strong, quick hands, present bat speed, flat through the zone, on the barrel consistently and wore out the middle of the field with hard line-drive contact. Used the whole field and showed a feel to hit throughout.

3B/C DaSaan Lee (Crete Monee, 2024) presents some offensive intrigue to go along with his physical 6-foot, 193-pound frame. The right-handed hitter moves with fluid rhythm and it’s an easy/loose swing that works uphill through the zone with strong hands. Lee also creates some easy pop off the bat, registering a max exit velocity of 91.0 mph alongside noteworthy bat speed (70.6). On the infield, Lee flashed sure hands, and clean transfers out of the glove; arm played at 78 mph across the diamond.
