North Central College commit. 6-foot, 178-pound two-way, left/left prospect with athletic frame that plays in the outfield and on the mound. Started Prairie Ridge’s season opener against Fremd. Scattered two hits, three walks, in 3.2 innings and struck out five batters. On the mound, repeats high front-side delivery. Long arm action, clean and easy from high ¾ slot. Works on line to home and finishes in an athletic position. Fastball, occasional late run, sat 79-83 mph with a couple of 84 mph mixed in. Curveball, feel for zone, 1/7 shape, 68-70 mph. Changeup, go-to offering on this day, thrown at arm speed, some late fade, 70-74 mph.

8/7/18 - Recent Benedictine commit. 6-foot, 178-pound, left-handed hitting two-way player, athletic frame translates to the field. Defensively, natural actions, feet work in rhythm, gets behind the baseball, exchanges are quick and clean, plays through with soft hands. Arm is long and loose with present arm speed, clean, high ¾ slot, throws carried with accuracy, topped 87 mph from the outfield. At the plate, wide setup, drop/bar load, long toe tap trigger. Strong hands, long, uphill bat path, flashed line drive ability, present bat speed, exit velocity topped 90 mph from a tee. Went 2-for-2 in gameplay with a double to centerfield and a single to the pull side. Also, stole second base, 7.27 runner in the 60. On the mound, repeatable, hybrid delivery, works in-line, lands square, athletic finish, rhythm involved. Arm is long and loose, speeds up through window, clean high ¾ slot. Fastball, some late run, mostly straight, topped 83 mph, sat 80-82 mph. Feel for curveball, 1/7 shape for strikes with arm speed, 66-69 mph. Changeup played at 72 mph.

6.12.18 - 6-foot, 178-pound, left-handed hitting outfielder, athletic, strong build. At the plate, crouched, wide stance, top bat wrap setup, bar load, toe tap trigger. Strong hands, middle of the field approach, repeatable line drive, hard contact, extends barrel through the zone, rhythm involved. Above average bat speed, exit velocity topped 93 mph from a tee. Defensively, natural, quick actions, plays through the ball with fluid footwork, short, loose arm action, high ¾ slot, throws carried 87 mph from the outfield with accuracy. 7.25 runner in the 60.

2.11.18 - 6-foot, 175-pound left-handed pitcher, average frame. Delivery repeats, on slightly closed line, squared landing. Arm action is long, high ¾ slot, loose out front. Fastball is mostly straight, showed ability to command the zone, 80-81 mph. Curveball has 1/7 shape, 65-67 mph, showed feel for the zone. Changeup fades to arm side, above average feel and action, 72-74 mph.

1.28.18 - 6-foot, 178-pound, athletically built, left/left, two-way prospect. At the plate, athletic, balanced setup, smooth load, reverse toe-tap stride and good balance. Fluid rhythm, quick twitch in swing, level bat path, spray approach and a feel for the barrel; 88 mph exit velocity from a tee. In the outfield, athletic, natural outfield actions, fluid footwork, plays through the baseball and gains ground on transfer. Long, loose arm action, high ¾ slot, throws carry and topped at 84 mph. 4.70 runner, home-to-first. Left-handed pitcher, clean, repeatable delivery, smooth rhythm, stays on-line with regular effort throughout. Quick, clean arm action, over-the-top arm slot. Fastball works straight, down in the zone at times; sat 80-81 mph, touched 82. Curveball, maintains arm speed, 1/7 shape, depth and feel, 65-67 mph. Changeup, fade action, 72-73 mph.

7.3.17 - 5-foot-10, 165-pound left-handed hitting outfielder with an athletic frame. At the plate hits from a balanced setup, arm bar start with a high back elbow. Line drive, middle of the field approach. In his first at bat of the day lined an RBI single over the second baseman.

6.13.17 - 5-foot-11, 170-pound, athletic two-way prospect. On the mound, left-handed pitcher, works from third base side of the rubber, loose arm action from a high-¾ slot, easy, repeatable delivery. Directional delivery, square landing, athletic finish, smooth rhythm. Fastball sat 81-82, topped at 83, slight arm-side run, thrown for strikes at a higher frequency from the stretch. Curveball sat 61-65 with 2/8 shape, maintains similar arm speed, tendency to get under the ball. Changeup sat 66-68 with arm-side fade, maintains similar arm speed. At the plate, left-handed hitter, balanced setup, low hands, leg kick timing trigger. Present bat speed, level bat path, gap-to-gap approach, 91 mph exit velocity. Defensively, long arm action from high-¾ slot, soft hands, fluid footwork, plays thru the ball, quick, clean exchange, throws clocked at 85 mph from the outfield. Ran 7.43 laser-timed 60.

2.15.16 - 5-foot-10, 155-pound two way player, lean young build, projectable prospect both ways. On the mound, works with regular effort, squared landing, stays in line, level shoulders. Full arm action, longer draw, over the top slot with some quickness. Fastball has arm side run, showed good feel for his age, 76-78 mph. Curveball plays 12/6 ranged 58-60 mph. Showed a splitter at 63-66 mph, near fastball arm speed, showed some downer action. Good projection on the mound. Left-handed hitter, tall open stance, short leg lift stride back to square, average balance. Showed upside with the bat, level path, gap to gap type approach. Shows good bat speed for his age, 84 mph off the tee. Ran a 7.99 laser timed, with effort. Defensively arm played at 80 mph from the outfield, good crowhop with direction, over the top slot, showed carry and accuracy. Played through the baseball fluidly, showed actions, hands worked. Best tool looks to be his left-handed arm, 2019 follow.
