4.24.17 - Verbally committed to John A. Logan JC.

1.18.15 - 6-foot-1, 175-pound lanky right-handed hitting catcher, hits from a slightly open stance, leg kick, hands load smoothly, foot gets down late at times making rhythm choppy, when on time hit line drives with a right-centerfield approach, 79 mph exit velocity. Defensively, pop times ranged from 2.05-2.12 down to second, 73 mph from the crouch, impressing with accuracy and quick release from short, over-the-top arm slot. Above average hands receiving during bullpens, feet work well side-to-side when blocking. Ran a 7.92 60. May is a potentially plus defender and impressed this past spring seeing extensive time on varsity for Joliet West.

7/14/14 - 6-foot, 170-pound lanky, projectable right-handed hitting catcher hits from an open setup with hands starting high, and dropping down to load creating level bat path and 75 mph exit velocity.  Upper body gets rotational at times in swing, opening up early on pitches on the outer half, but showed strength to his pull side.  Defensively, shows solid catch and throw skills with pop times ranging between 2.10-2.19 from short, over the top arm action with carry.  Throws 73 mph from the crouch.  Ran between 5.22-5.29 from home to first.

2/17/14 - 6-foot, 170-pound catcher. Offensively, hits from an open, balanced stance with a short stride, quality lower half usage, and strong balance through contact. Swing is long, with a level path. Exit velocity was 68 mph off a tee. Defensively, is a solid receiver with fluid footwork and quick, clean exchanges. Arm works short at 67 mph from a crouch with solid accuracy. Pop times were in the 2.26-2.4 range. Ran a 7.51 60.

10/27/13 - 5-foot-11, 170-pound catcher with a strong body for his age. Behind the dish he has an athletic setup, sound receiver, blocks well. Throws from over-the-top slot, short arm action, accurate throws, 68 mph from the crouch. Ran an 8.47 60. Offensively he hits from a balanced, open stance, short stride, quality balance through the swing. Line drive type hitter, occasionally uphill bat path, solid bat speed. Exit velocity was 76 mph off a tee.

6.12.13 - May is a 5-foot-9, 150-pound catcher who knows how to play the position.  Made accurate throws from the crouch and receives well but lacks quickness in his transfer.  Recorded pop times between 2.36 and 2.5 at 62 mph.  Hits from a balanced setup with a smooth load and short stride.  Displayed solid mechanics at the plate throughout the swing.  Recorded a 63 mph exit velocity and ran a 9.0 60.

3/10/13 - 5-foot-9, 150-pound catcher. Good setup behind the plate, arm works at 60 mph from the crouch. Posted pop times of 2.50-2.76. Offensively hits from an open stance, smooth load, short stride. Excellent pre pitch setup. Bat path is short, occasional extension, solid contact. 62 mph exit velocity from the tee.
