4.11.18 - St. Xavier commit, currently ranked No. 189 in Illinois’ Class of 2018. 6-foot-3, 195-pound physical, strength in upper and lower halves. Right-handed hitting first baseman, balanced setup, short stride, maintains balance, strong through contact. Barrel path is naturally uphill, consistently barreled the ball hard. Hit two home runs in his first two at-bats, finished the day going 4-for-4 with two home runs, one double, four runs scored, and nine runs batted in.

10.8.17 - Recent St. Xavier commit. 6-foot-3, 195-pound right-handed hitting RHP/1B. On the mound works from a ¾ arm angle with a long arm action. Tall and fall delivery with regular effort. Slightly closed landing. Fastball sat 78-81 topping out at 82 mph. Slider has short sweeping action at 68-71 mph. Showed feel for his changeup at 72-73 mph with running action. Curveball has 11-5 shape with sharp breaking action at 65-68 mph. At the plate hits from a balanced, slightly open setup. Short leg lift stride with good balance. Pull hitter with a long, uphill swing path. 85 mph exit velocity from a tee. Ran the 60 at 7.77. Defensively has a long arm action from a ¾ arm angle. Threw 78 mph across the infield.
8.8.17 - 6-foot-3, 200-pound right-handed hitting RHP/1B. On the mound works from a ¾ arm angle with a short arm action. Tall and fall delivery, working in line with home plate. Fastball has running action at 80-82 topping out at 83 mph. Slider works between 11-5 and 10-4 shape at 70-72 mph. Changeup has running action at 73-74 mph. At the plate hits from a slightly open, spread out base. Short stride with average balance. Pull hitter with an uphill swing path. Showed strength thru contact with 90 mph exit velocity from a tee. Ran the 60 at 7.97. Defensively has a loose arm action from a high ¾ slot. Threw 78 mph across the infield.

2.19.17 - 6-foot-3, 200-pound right-handed pitcher. Works from a ¾ arm angle with a short arm action. Drop and drive delivery with some effort. Works in line with home plate with some rhythm and a square landing. Fastball has running action at 79-82 topping out at 83 mph for strikes. Slider has short sweeping action at 68-73 mph. Changeup has sinking action at 74-75 mph.

10.25.15 - Long projectable frame, 6-foot-2, 188-pound lean shape projects. Right-handed bat looks to be best tool, balanced stance, short stride, maintains strong balance through contact. Simple strong approach, loose, hands, attacks the baseball, compact. Path works really well, short to it with extension, showed bat speed, 84 mph exit velocity from the tee. Defensively arm played loose, high ¾ slot across the diamond, showed arm strength at 80 mph across, only flashed carry at times. Plays tall defensively, clean exchange, hands played. 8.08 runner in the 60. On the mound showed arm strength, can get more out of lower half, stays tall through release, upright finish. Clean arm action, high ¾ slot. Fastball showed slight sinking action, 77-79 mph, touched 80 mph. Showed two breaking balls, both at similar velocity, slider at 67-69 mph, curveball at 65-67 mph, both with similar shape, threw curveball for strikes. Changeup flashed feel and action, 69-73 mph.
9/30/14 - Highly projectable right-handed pitcher, 6-foot-1, 150 pounds. Delivery is directional, works on line, hips load at top, short stride, closed landing, upright finish. Arm action is loose and quick, shows excellent present arm speed, projects to be able to hold much more velocity as frame fills out, high ¾ slot. Fastball ranged 74-76 mph, touched 77 mph twice, flashed run, lacked command, lively fastball projects well. Curveball has 11/5 shape, slurve action, 64-67 mph currently uses a slip pitch grip, showed feel for the pitch, ability to control. Good changeup arm speed, compares well to fastball, has sink with advanced feel for his age, 70-71 mph. Throws a cutter which could develop into best pitch, 68-69 mph, flashed slider action, lateral with some depth, excellent feel. Olszak is a high follow in the 2018 class, high ceiling prospect.
