3/26/16 - Uncommitted and ranked No. 145 in Illinois. 6-foot-1, 225-pound, strong, solidly built first baseman. Had a big day at the plate going 2-for-3 with a double to dead center field, an RBI and scored three runs. Flashed bat speed and found the barrel consistently in all of his at-bats on the day. Starts from an open stance with good balanced through contact. Looks like a middle of the order type bat at the next level.
6/18/15 - 6-foot-1, 200-pound first baseman, overall strong build. Hits from an open stance, short stride, strong lower half with good balance. Showed strong hands at the plate, fast bat with strength, slight pull side approach with power. Made hard contact with ball jumping off bat, 91 mph exit velocity from the tee. Defensively proved to be a well above average first baseman, hands played soft, showed body control and feel for the bag. Short arm action with ample carry across the diamond for his position. 7.54 runner in the 60.
4.16.15 - 6-foot-1, 210-pound right-handed hitting first baseman/catcher, strong, wide frame, strong lower half. Dvorak impresses with toughness and bat speed. Hits third for Provi, narrow, slightly open stance. Hit by a pitch in head in first at bat, sprinted to first base. Walked twice, patient approach. Tripled in third at bat to right field, not a burner but moves well on base paths (stole third in first inning). Dvorak swings hard at all times, even in his practice cuts. Short, slightly uphill bat path, triple to right misplayed by right fielder, likely would have been a single. Defensively, showed average hands in the game fielding. Has four home runs on the season thus far.
8/17/14 - 6-foot-1, 215-pound right-handed hitting catcher hits from a balanced, wide setup, hands load back smoothly, short stride; short, level bat path, gets occasional extension, producing 83 mph exit velocity. Defensively, threw 71 mph from the crouch from a long, high ¾ arm slot with some accuracy and pop times ranging from 2.19-2.32. Ran a 7.94 60 and 5.02 from home to first.
1.19.14 - Solid build, 6-foot, 200-pound catcher/third baseman. Offensively hits from a wider stance, shows bat speed. 82 mph exit velocity from the tee. Defensively posted pop times in the 2.21-2.30 range, short over the top arm slot, 70 mph arm strength out of the crouch, defensively sound mechanics. On the infield showed similar arm action from third base, 71 mph across the diamond.
7/23/13 - Physical 5-foot-11, 185-pound catcher and third-baseman. Frequently found the barrel making hard contact during BP. Displayed bat speed and full extension with balance throughout the swing – registering an 84 mph exit velocity from the tee. Defensively showed soft hands overall. Behind the plate recorded pop-times ranging 2.17-2.25 at 68 mph from the crouch. At third he threw 70 mph across the diamond.
1/20/13 - 5-foot-11, 180-pound catcher/third baseman. Offensively hits from balanced setup, no load, no stride, line drive hitter, lacks lower half, not on time. Defensively shows max effort arm across infield, lacks accuracy, hands play well. Behind the plate shows receiving skills, pop times 2.25-2.42.
