Kansas State commit, currently ranked No. 19 in Illinois. Athletic 5-foot-9 180-pound right-handed hitting catcher. Athletic setup at the plate; quick loose hands, stays through the zone a long time and has the ability to create backspin. Finished the day 2-for-4 at the plate. Defensively, highly-skilled defender with athletic actions behind the plate; frames and presents pitches in and around the zone well. Above-average arm behind the plate, flashed a 1.96 pop-time in between innings. Footwork is quick, athletic, and efficient out of the crouch. High-level 2022 prospect.
Positional Profile: C/3B Continues to establish himself as one of the top catchers in the class.
Body: 5-9, 180-pounds. Athletic, projectable frame.
Hit: RHH. Crouched setup, short leg-lift timing trigger, maintains balance throughout contact. Lightning quick hands, consistently on the barrel, short and uphill through the zone.
Power: 97.21 max exit velocity, averaged 91.13 mph. 362’ max distance. Above-average pull-side power.
Arm: RH. C - 83 mph. INF - 94 mph. Clean arm action, plays short and over-the-top from the crouch, flashed carry. Also, showed one of the strongest infield arms of the day, playing with life and carry across the diamond.
Defense: Worked out behind the plate and also on the infield. Showed equally as well at both positions. Behind the plate, athletic, quick footwork, quick/clean out of the crouch and hands play soft. On the infield, fluid defender, plays with bounce, light on his feet, soft hands, plays through the baseball, natural infield actions.
Run: 7.17 runner in the 60.

Defense: 1.97-2.08 pop times. Athletic actions behind the dish. Quick feet that work in line with the bag, soft hands, exceptionally quick to release, adept blocker with flexible hips. Will stick behind the plate moving forward.
Arm: RH. C - 80 mph. Long arm action, over-the-top slot. Above-average arm strength for age, accurate throws to the bag.
Hit: RHH. Athletic in the box, balanced setup, smooth load, aggressive lower half drive, balanced through contact. Clear confidence and athletic look in the box. Loose hands with natural bat speed, level bat path, natural loft, knack for the barrel. Gap-to-gap approach, swings with intent, consistently hits in rhythm.
Power: 93 mph exit velocity from the tee.
Run: 7.43 runner in the 60.
2.18.19 - 5-foot-5, 145-pound right-handed hitting catcher/infielder. At the plate, even setup, back load, short toe lifted stride. Hands work loose, level path with some length, some rhythm involved, exit velocity topped 79 mph from a tee. Defensively, pop times ranged 2.10-2.20. Steady hands, feet work quick, clean transfer, gets shoulders turned, some effort. Arm action has length with recoil, high ¾ slot, throws topped 68 mph from the crouch. Flashed athletic actions on the infield, quick footwork, steady hands, bends at waist, packs at exchange. Long arm action, loose out front, high ¾ slot, throws topped 77 mph across the diamond. 8.13 runner in the 60.
